Lila Tirando a Violeta from Montevideo, Uruguay has garnered a reputation for her enigmatic and versatile sonic repertoire. Newly signed to notable label Hyperdub Records, her influences range from experimental avant-garde music to hard drum percussions all while taking cues from field recordings and Latin American melodies.
In 2020, Lila released her album Limerencia through Mexico Citys label N.A.A.F.I, receiving widespread acclaim. The album was listed as one of the best releases of the year by the esteemed platform Bandcamp. Building upon this, Lila followed up with her 2022 full length album Desire Path, which further solidified her status as a preeminent figure in the electronic music landscape. The album earned accolades from renowned publications around the globe such as Pitchfork, DJ Mag and The New York Times.
